Business China and Jiangsu Federation of Young Entrepreneurs (JSFYE) are entering into a new partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Singapore-Jiangsu Cooperation Council (SJCC) on 20 Nov 2018.
The MOU paves the way for a long-term partnership between Business China and JSFYE in a wide range of areas, including mutual membership recognition, fostering exchanges and alliance among Singapore and Jiangsu enterprises, joint pursuit in opportunities along the Belt and Road Initiative, resource sharing, internship and mentorship for youths and young entrepreneurs, cross-industry collaboration as well as organising joint events and activities.
This partnership is a new milestone for both organisations after two years of close discussions and interaction, facilitated by Enterprise Singapore. The common objective behind the partnership is to benefit the corporate members, young entrepreneurs and youths in Singapore and Jiangsu, encouraging more people-to-people exchange and economic collaboration. JSFYE will also set up an innovation and entrepreneurship centre in the Singapore Nanjing Eco Hi-Tech Island (SNEHTI) to facilitate the exchange of ideas between Singapore and Jiangsu entrepreneurs and youths.
With the new partnership, the corporate members of Business China and JSFYE can look forward to a more exciting line up of meaningful activities and programmes, which will facilitate exchanges and collaboration enterprises and youths in Singapore and Jiangsu.
Singapore-Jiangsu Networking Event
In the spirit of friendship and collaboration, Business China organised the “Singapore-Jiangsu Networking Event” at the sidelines of the SJCC on 19 November 2018. The event was supported by Enterprise Singapore and Jiangsu Department of Commerce. Also supporting the event were Singapore companies including United Overseas Bank, Singapore Stock Exchange and Rajah and Tann. Business China Chairman Mr Lee Yi Shyan and JYFE President Mr Shen Bin graced the event and delivered welcome remarks to an audience of 80 guests, including 30 members of JSFYE comprising business leaders from top Jiangsu enterprises. Both Singapore and Jiangsu enterprises also shared their insights on going global into the Belt and Road countries. The event ended with a networking session in which both Singapore and Jiangsu enterprises took the precious opportunity to share experiences and explore possible third-country partnership opportunities.
