An MOU was signed on 10 Sept 2020 between Business China CEO, Ms Tin Pei Ling and Singapore Mentorship Committee (SMC) Chairman, Dr David Ong; witnessed by Business China Director, Ms Linda Tan and SMC Director, Ms Liu Zi Wei.
Singapore Mentorship Committee (新加坡导师委员会) is a non-profit organisation voluntarily formed by prominent business leaders in China and Southeast Asia who are looking to build trade and cultural collaborations with Singapore. SMC’s vision is to spread the entrepreneurial spirit and to create a culture where wealth and assets are spread across borders and generations.
The MOU signing symbolises a strategic partnership between BC and SMC to: (1) Strengthen and deepen the collaboration between BC and SMC, especially in the area of nurturing Singapore-China savvy talents through company internships and mentorships, (2) Promote deep appreciation of both Singaporean and Chinese business culture and entrepreneurial spirit and enhance Singaporean Young Business Leaders understanding of China’s economy and culture through BC and SMC’s knowledge sharing during thematic webinars and closed-door networking sessions, and (3) Render mutual support in programmes and events organised by BC and/or SMC.
Following the MOU signing ceremony, Ms Tin sat down with the SMC team to discuss about greater collaboration between Business China and SMC.
