Business China will launch a forum in July to facilitate a deeper and more integrated understanding of China's fast-evolving society, culture, politics and economy.

The inaugural FutureChina Global Forum will bring in over 30 discussion leaders from business, academia, government and people sectors worldwide to share their insights and knowledge on change in China.

Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew, who is also the patron of the non-profit Business China, will be hosting a dialogue session at the forum's gala dinner, while Foreign Minister George Yeo will be one of the keynote speakers.

Chief executive of Business China Josephine Teo said the forum aims to fill a gap in the existing range of forums on China, and meet the need for a more comprehensive understanding of how the influences and trends shaping the country interact with each other.

Claude Smadja, formerly the managing director of the World Economic Forum, has also been roped in as the forum's Conference Producer.

This first forum, set to be an annual affair, is expected to draw 250 invited participants.
