OVERSEAS Singapore Clubs will be set up in the Chinese cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Xiamen later this year.

Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng, who revealed the plan at a Business China Chinese New Year event during the weekend, said that nearly 150,000 Singaporeans work and study overseas, and such clubs will strengthen their links to the country.

Right now, the club can be found in Sydney, Australia and London, UK.

Business China was launched last November as a resource platform for Singapore businessmen and it aims to groom more bilingual businessmen to connect with China.
